Day 1; 2

Arrival, Yerevan city sightseeing tour

Arrival at Zvartnots airport. Time for leisure. Museum of History. Lunch at the restaurant. City tour. Erebuny fortress and museum (782 BC). Dinner, overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

Day 3

Etchmiadzin, Zvartnots

Etchmiadzin, the Cathedral (303AD) and St Gayane (630AD) churches. Sardarapat ethnography museum. Lunch at the restaurant. St.Hripsime (618AD) Zvartnots temple (7th c.). Dinner, overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

Day 4

Dilijan, Sevan

Dilijan, Goshavank (12-13th cc.) and Haghartsin (10-13th cc) monasteries. Lunch. Lake Sevan, Sevan monasteries (9th c.) on the peninsula, Noradouz medieval khachkars field (9-17th cc.). Dinner, overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

Day 5

Garni and Geghard

Memorial complex and Museum of Genocide. Garni pagan temple (1st c.), lunch- picnic by the road. Geghard monastery (4-13th cc.). Museum of S.Paradjanov. Dinner, overnight at the hotel in Yerevan. (Elevation: 1300 m max. Driving: 115 km)

Day 6

Khor-Virap

Khor-Virap monastery (4th c.), Areni church (1321), Noravank monastery (13-14th cc.). Lunch- picnic. Karahunge ancient observatory (5 mil. BC). Sisian. Dinner and overnight in Sisian.

Day 7

Stepanakert

Ancient village Tegh (1 mil. BC). Tsitsernavank (5th c.) monastery, Nagorno-Kharabakh, Stepanakert, lunch. Askeran Mayraberd (9-10th cc), Aghdam. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Stepanakert.

Day 8

Stepanakert

Stepanakert, Gandzasar monastery (13th c.), Mardakert region and river Tartar, Stepanakert. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Stepanakert.

Day 9

Sisian

Historical capital of Kharabakh- Shushi, Khndzoresk ancient village in caves (1mil.BC). Lunch at the restaurant in Goris. Tatev monastery (9 -13th cc.). Dinner and overnight at hotel "Basen " in Sisian.

Day 10

Yerevan

Sisian, Gndevank monastery (10th c.), lunch, and Yeghegis village, Zorats church (14th c.) back to Yerevan. Visit to a winery in Areni village. Dinner, overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

Day 11

Yerevan

Matenadaran - institute and museum of medieval manuscripts. Ashtarak, medieval bridge (13th c.), Karmravor (7th c.) and Tsiranavor (5th c.) churches. Lunch. Hamberd castle and church (10-13th cc.), Saghmosavank monastery (13th c.), return to the Yerevan. Parting dinner, overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.
