Day 1

Arrival to Yerevan

Arrival at Zvartnots airport. Time for leisure. Dinner, overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

Day 2

Yerevan, City Tour

The colorful, warm city of Yerevan is delighted to invite you to stroll through the city. Well visit Matenadaran Museum- the largest storage of spiritual cultural heritage and ancient manuscripts. The building is located at the end of Mesrop Mashtots Boulevard and overlooks the whole city. Next we explore the subway (Metro Yerevan), the Abovyan Street, one of the oldest streets of Yerevan, the "Singing Fountains". They are worth seeing, especially on summer evenings, when the fountains are colorfully illuminated, and chansons by Charles Anzavour or waltzes by Johann Strauss are played over loudspeakers. Leisure time.

Day 3

Yerevan, Amberd, Aragats, Odzun

Exploratory trip to Aragats (4090 m), the highest mountain in Armenia. On our way, we will visit the fortress of Amberd, ''Fortress in the Clouds'', with its tower, baths, city walls and the Church Vahramaschen. Hiking to the magnificent mountain lake Qari Lich, until Mount Aragats. Qari Lich translates to ''Stone Lake'' in Armenian. We will have the opportunity to admire the beauty of alpine landscapes, beautiful variety of colors and natural resources, and we will breathe the fresh mountain air. There is also a pleasant picnic spot and we will enjoy a nice picnic there. Late afternoon we drive to the picturesque province of Lori, known for its idyllic villages, impressive landscapes and architectural treasures. Arrival in Odzun. Traditional dinner. Overnight.

Day 4

Odzun

Walking through the magnificient flower meadows of Odzun. Visit of the domed basilica, dating back to the 7th century. Next to the church, there is an unusual monument with two columns portraying biblical scenes and the Christianization of Armenia. Provision is also made for the leisure time. The rest of the day is at your disposal. Let your soul dangle and forget about your worries and just relax, after all you are on holiday! On the 4th - 6th day, you will stay with host families in a warm family atmosphere. Each morning will begin with a traditional Armenian breakfast. Afternoons and evenings you will enjoy delicious Armenian food!.

Day 5

Odzun, Sanahin, Haghpat, Akhtala, Koti

At the beginning of the day we explore the sibling-monasteries of Sanahin and Haghpat, wonderful examples of medieval monastic architecture. Next we visit the village of Akhtala, famous for its frescoes. Departure to Koti. Warm welcome by a host family. Dinner accompanied by Armenian folk music.

Day 6

Koti

Another beautiful day in the country. Beautiful forest walks nearby. Visit to a beekeeper. You also have the opportunity to follow the whole process of honey production and taste aromatic honey. Overnight.

Day 7

Koti Anapat (Lastiver)

Magnificent landscapes - rocks and caves, forests and waterfalls. Exploration of the cave complex of Lastiver. Swimming under the waterfall. Get a breath of fresh air and let yourself be pampered by the peaceful environment. Get lost in your beautiful dreams and exchange interesting stories. Overnight

Day 8

Anapat

Surrounded by pristine nature, you can completely relax and revive your energy.The place offers lots of possibilities to spend unforgettable time: fun and relaxation, swimming, hiking, enjoying tasty food from natural products, singing, listening to music, exchanging your impressions and thoughts aroud the warm bonfire. Finally, it is another nice opportunity to share the daily life of the locals.

Anapat, Kochakar, Anapat

Kochakar offers you a spectacular view of the surrounding picturesque mountains. You will spend a day in a mountain village, where you can gain a better insight into everyday life of the locals, their customs and traditions. Recreation and pleasure in the flavors of nature without limits.

Day 10

Anapat, Lake Sevan, Geghard, Basalt Organs, Garni, Yerevan

At the beginning of the day we travel to Kotayk, the western province of Armenia. At the entrance to the Upper Azat Valley you will visit the Monastery of Geghard which dates back to the 13th century. In 2000, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The trip continues onwards to Garni. We admire the symphony of stones, the wonderful ensemble of organ pipes made of basalt. We will climb up to the pagan temple of Garni dating back to the 1st century AD. Return to the capital. Overnight.

Day 11

Yerevan

This eventful journey is slowly coming to its end. We will also explore Tsitsernakaberd, the Armenian Genocide Museum and Memorial. Next we visit the handicraft market Vernissage, where you can admire the colorful diversity of handicrafts. Free time for individual discoveries. Preparation for journey back home.
