16 Nights - Kenya and Mozambique

Day 1:

On arrival in Nairobi you will be met and transferred by road to your hotel.

Day 2-4:

Breakfast at Palacina Suites and thereafter transfer Wilson Airport for a scheduled flight departing to the Mara Game Reserve where you will stay for 3 nights. The flight departs at 10h005 and arrives at 11h00 at Ngerende Airstrip. Here you will be met at the airstrip by the camp vehicles and driver/guides and transferred to the camp situated along a private stretch of the Mara River.

The Maasai Mara, is the northernmost extension of the Serengeti and a gem in itself. The camp operates throughout the year, the migration of wildebeest covers July through October, After lunch a short siesta and enjoy your first shared game viewing drive. Return to the camp at sunset for Dinner and retire for the night.

3 nights' Accommodation at Ngerende Island Lodge in a tented suite [fully inclusive]

Ngerende has been stylishly designed to provide the ideal safari experience where comfort, Orient-Travel and outstanding personal service combine naturally with the beautiful wilderness of the Masai Mara.The lodge offers exclusive accommodation, as we can sleep just 14 guests in individual and contemporary designed suites. All seven suites offer stunning views of the Mara River. Whilst in the main building, the dining room extends onto the verandah overlooking the Mara River and the nearby hippo pod. Recently the lodge has completed an infinity swimming pool overlooking one of the largest Hippo Pods in the Northern Mara and a spa offering therapeutic treatments.

There is even a honeymoon suite which is isolated from the main lodge to provide extra privacy, having its own private plunge pool and Jacuzzi.

There is an abundance of wildlife all protected by the conservation ranch and an exclusive project to rear White Rhino so that they can take their place back in the Mara society to which they belong.

Day 5-8:

Another early morning game drive to complete your list of Kenyan sightings. Return to the lodge for breakfast and thereafter transfer to Ngerende Airstrip for a scheduled flight back to Nairobi. Gain an overview of Africa on your plane ride back to Nairobi .The flight departs Mara at 11h00 and arrives back in Nairobi Wilson Airport at 12h00.

On arrival at Wilson Airport you will be met and board your private charter flight to Little Shompole.

Shompole Lodge is the figurehead of a partnership between a private safari company and the Maasai of Shompole Group Ranch aimed at encouraging the conservation of wildlife and habitat of the area. The area is home to many species of animals and bird life and includes one of the most ecologically diverse habitats in Africa.

Consisting of only 2 spacious, Orient-Travel suites, Little Shompole is a totally exclusive destination, perfect for those who wish to experience the African wilderness with just themselves for company.

The individual suites are positioned around a communal mess area with a cool and welcoming horizon pool and a view that extends over Natron Lake towards the distant mountains of Northern Tanzania. Natron Lake, known as the 'Lake of Fire' to the local Maasai, is one of the few breeding grounds for the flamingo and glows red with the algae that the birds feed on.

Each suite also has its own lounge area and pool, all designed in light stylish colours and incorporating local products such as white quartz, polished fig tree wood and water. Each detail adds to the contemporary, African elegance of Little Shompole.

Little Shompole has its own dedicated team of Maasai staff, including a knowledgable guide and butler. Your ranger will take you on early morning bush walks, exciting game drives and even venture into the bush at night; the animals are more active after dark, and prowling lions are often spotted. Sundowners enjoyed in the bush or a romantic dinner under the stars is the perfect way to end your African day.

While each suite boasts beautiful, uninterrupted views from its private sundeck, both also have their own pool, stylishly decorated lounge area and en-suite bathrooms, each with his and hers hand basins and cascade showers. The enormous bed is romantically draped with mosquito nets and a canvas cover that can be closed against insects at night.

Day 9:

Today you will be flown by private charter back to Jomo Kenyatta Airport in time to check in for you flight on Kenyan Airways to Johannesburg. On arrival in Johannesburg you will clear customs and then be met and assisted with your luggage to the Johannesburg Airport Intercontinental Hotel.

Day 10-15:

After an early breakfast you will be met and assisted with your luggage to the international departures terminal in time to check in for your Federal Air flight to Vilanculous in Mozambique.

On arrival in Vilanculous you will be met and transfer by helicopter the Azura Resort.

Day 16:

Today you will be flown by helicopter to Vilanculous Airport in time for your Federal Air flight to Johannesburg

On arrival in Johannesburg you will be make your way to the check in counters for you onward flight home.
