When you reach the Eiffel Tower, you squeeze your partner's hand acknowledging that you made it. The edifice was erected as the entrance arch to the World's Fair in the late 19th century. The tower rises dramatically from base to tip at 1,063 feet tall and casts a shadow over the Champs de Mars Park.
