Detailed Itinerary

Day 1-4: Cape Grace, Cape Town

Description

Upon arrival in Cape Town you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to the Cape Grace, your home as you explore South Africa's most beautiful city.

Cape Town is a sophisticated city with lots to see and do. The city, which faces north across Table Bay, has thrived from its birth, first as a Dutch settlement in 1652 when Jan van Ribeeck established it as a supply station for ships of the Dutch East India Company, and later, under the British as a port supplying ships with food and fresh water from the perennial mountain streams. Work up an appetite for Cape Town’s world class restaurants with a tour of Robben Island (where Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years in prison), a drive to the Cape of Good Hope or a ride up Table Mountain in a cable car.

Overnight: Cape Grace

Proudly situated in the iconic center of Cape Town's Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, on its very own private quay, the Cape Grace is just three minutes from the city center and within easy reach of Cape Town's art galleries, museums, Botanical Gardens, wine farms and beaches.

The hotel’s 121 newly redecorated rooms offer a haven of tranquility and stylish refinement. All rooms have breathtaking views of Table Mountain, the new international yacht basin or the working harbor. The hotel prides itself on providing unobtrusive and efficient service from a staff that genuinely delights in making guests feel at home. Each evening there is a wine tasting in the cellar, and whiskey from all around the world is available at Bascule Whiskey Bar.  To enhance your stay, the hotel provides transfers to city center and local beaches any time during the day, access & transfer to nearby Health Club, as well as access to the hotel’s Hot Spa - steam room, sauna, rain & body shower and mineral spa bath, internet access in the Communication Center and a  nightly ‘History & Wine’ presentation tour.

The hotel’s Signal Restaurant draws on influences from the many cultures and nations that have called upon this region during its history, namely French Huguenots, British settlers, and Dutch and Asian traders. The menu will connect you with local farmer's offerings and the very best combinations of the Cape's heritage and present tastes.

Overnights at the CAPE GRACE.

Includes: Breakfast, Orient-Travel chauffeur transfers within a 10km radius (including Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens) from 7am to 11pm, and a Cape Orientation.

Day 5-6: Singita Lebombo Lodge, Kruger National Park

Description

Today you will return to the airport in Cape Town for your flight to Singita Lebombo in a remote area within Kruger National Park.

At more than 2 million hectares the Kruger National Park is one of the world’s largest game reserves and a truly remarkable destination. Because of its exceptional size you can experience amazing diversity – from the scenery and ecosystems to the correspondingly amazing array of animals, trees and birds. A trip to the Kruger National Park is an unforgettable and potentially life changing experience.

Overnight: Singita Lebombo Lodge

Within Kruger, Singita's private concession is exclusive to Singita Lebombo Lodge guests. Travelers into this remote wilderness have been overwhelmed by the scale, and the silence. Rangers who have walked on foot through the area say it has the largest concentration of game they have seen in Kruger.

Singita Lebombo, the “Jewel of Kruger” will be your home while visiting this area of the park. The Lodge is located in one of the most remote areas of the park and rests lightly among the boulders of the Lebombo Mountains, overlooking two rivers. From your timber and glass room experience the continent's vast canvas. All-season indoor and outdoor areas offer spacious and elegant accommodation. Dine indoors or out while watching game traverse the open grassland.  Interact with your surroundings from an open Land Rover – or take advantage of a walking safari led by the expert rangers and game trackers. Between game drives enjoy the pool or visit the guest shop featuring outstanding Africana from across the continent.

Overnights at the SINGITA LEBOMBO LODGE.

Includes: All meals, all drinks other than premium wines and liquors, two game drive safaris per day, walking and spotlit night safaris, laundry and valet service.

Day 7-8: Singita Boulders Lodge, Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve

Description

Today you board a hopper flight that will take you from Singita Lebombo to Singita Boulders in the Sabi Sands.

Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve shares an unfenced border with Kruger National Park and is named for the Sabi and Sand Rivers which flow through it. The rivers support a tremendous diversity of wildlife and provide a scenic backdrop to some of the best game viewing in Africa. The characteristic species of the Sabi Sands are impala, greater kudu, giraffe, buffalo, lion and leopard.  Sightings of lion prides are the order of the day here. Open-water channels and pools are favored by hippo while buffalo and elephant are drawn to the reeds. The riverine forest is green all year round and is the haunt of leopard, greater bush baby (galago) and bushbuck.

Overnight: Singita Boulders Lodge

Within the Sabi Sands Reserve is the Singita Private Game Reserve which occupies 45,000 acres on the western border of Kruger National Park. Singita Boulders Lodge sits on the banks of the wildlife-rich Sand River in the Sabi Sands Reserve.  This elegant and luxurious lodge has just twelve suites with floor to ceiling glass walls that allow you to get up close and personal with the landscape and animals.  Contemporary in design, the suites are large and spacious. Each boasts an outdoor shower, en suite bathroom, heated pool, fire place and deck.  The shared lounge area is constructed atop a huge granite boulder with panoramic views.

Overnights at the SINGITA BOULDERS LODGE.

Includes: All meals, all drinks other than premium wines and liquors, two game drive safaris per day, walking and night safaris, laundry and valet service
